Thru July 26 - The Producers - Allenberry Resort Inn and Playhouse, 1559 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, PA, 717-258-3211. Broadway's funniest musical in ages.

Thru Aug. 8 - Route 66 Revisited - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. It all started in the dustbowl of the American South, in jukejoints and roadhouses along the stretches of highway that link our nation. This show traces the history of America’s music, from Memphis to San Francisco and everywhere in between. We’ll explore the Georgia soul of Brother Ray, the California harmonies of The Eagles, and the Jersey rock n’ roll of The Boss. From the Man in Black to Mellencamp, it’s all branches on the same musical tree. We’ll revisit the artists of Woodstock, and travel back in time to Newport when Dylan plugged in and a new sound was born. With the best music from the classic artists that defined the landscape of American culture, Route 66 Revisited is a musical journey you’ll never forget!

Thru Dec. 31 - Chocolate Tasting 101 - Hershy Chocolate World, 251 Park Boulevard, Hershey, PA, 717-534-4900. An introduction to chocolates sure to please all ages!

July 3 - 5 - American Music Fest - Riverfront Park & City Island, Harrisburg, PA, 717-255-3020. Riverfront Park will be alive with music, dance, food and activities during the 2009 July 4th weekend. The air will be filled with a world of musical performances and a spectacular fireworks displays – all completely FREE to the public. Six entertainment stages will run the length of Riverfront Park from Forester to Vine Streets featuring a wide variety of rock & roll, classical, reggae, international, funk, hip hop and country artists. Three food courts offer menus for every taste and the expanded amusement ride areas will insure thrills for every age. Again this year will be the exciting “Capital City Clash,” a battle of the bands and a Showcase of emerging talent featuring all genres of rock, including pop, psychedelic, blues, folk and indie artists. 12:00 - 10:00 pm.

July 5 - Julianne Hough & Jason Michael Carroll - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. AMT welcomes country artist Julianne Hough to its stage. A triple threat as a singer, actress and dancer, Julianne is already known to millions of fans as the two-time professional dance champion on ABC-TV’s top-rated Dancing with the Stars. The show, which pairs professional dancers with music, sports, film and television celebrities, has become a cultural phenomenon and Julianne its top star. Also appearing is hot new country artist Jason Michael Carroll. Carroll’s career began when he won a karaoke contest sponsored by a pop radio station and was promptly hired by a country band losing its singer. Eventually, Carroll signed a record deal with Arista Nashville and released his first single, "Alyssa Lies," in late 2006. This is sure to be a fun night with two of country music’s top new talents!

July 9 - 12 - "The King and I" - Hershey Area Playhouse, 830 Cherry Drive, Hershey, PA, 717-533-8525. Anna Leonowens, a Victorian widow from Wales, travels with her young son across the oceans to become the English teacher for the royal children of the King of Siam.

July 10 - Sugar Ray - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. Pop-rockers Sugar Ray burst onto the scene in the late 90’s with a string of funky, folky, rock n’ roll radio hits…“Fly,” “Every Morning,” “Someday,” “When it’s Over…” So what better way to get in a summer state of mind than with the “101 The Rose Summer Blast” at AMT starring Mark McGrath and Sugar Ray? With their sunny blend of infectious pop, island rhythms, and funky hip hop stylings, Mark McGrath and the boys are sure to roll into AMT with the biggest summer party of 2009!

July 13 - Josh Turner - American Music Theatre, 2425 Lincoln Hwy. E. (Rt. 30), Lancaster, PA 17602, 717-397-7700, 800-648-4102. For the last several years, Josh Turner has been quietly ascending the path to country music superstardom. Two of his singles—"Your Man" and "Would You Go With Me"—were multi-week number one hits, and his song “Firecracker,” is an infectious radio smash. Josh is now an in-demand touring act, and a first-time nominee in the Country Music Association Awards' prestigious Male Vocalist category. He also has the distinct honor of being the youngest member ever to have been invited to join the legendary Grand Ole Opry, inducted by his idol, Vince Gill.

Kenny Loggins first arrived on the music scene as half of the ‘70s duo Loggins and Messina, with their smash hit “Your Mama Don’t Dance.” After branching out on his own, practically every movie soundtrack in the ’80 had a Kenny Loggins hit attached to it—“Footloose,” “I’m Alright” (from Caddyshack) and “Danger Zone” (from Top Gun). Kenny has achieved superstar status in the music world, with a string of pop hits spanning the decades, like “House at Pooh Corner” “This is It,” “Angry Eyes,” “Celebrate Me Home,” “Danny’s Song,” “Whenever I Call you Friend,” and “Heart to Heart,” to name just a few.

Philly’s hometown boys Frankie Avalon, Fabian and Bobby Rydell are together again for one big show at AMT. Frankie Avalon’s hits include “Venus,” “De De Dinah” and “Bobby Sox to Stockings.” Bobby Rydell’s hits include “Volare,” “Wild One” and “Kissin’ Time.” Some of Fabian’s hits include “Turn Me Loose,” “Tiger” and “I’m a Man.” The three stars also pay tribute to Elvis, Bobby Darin, Rick Nelson and Bill Haley.

Their catalog epitomizes the spirit of the California lifestyle, and the Beach Boys have become an American icon to a worldwide audience.
